The first Cornell pump, the Rain-O-Flow irrigation pump, debuted in 1949. Specifically engineered to address common failure points in other pumps, it became a huge success. In fact, some of the original Rain-O-Flow models from the 1950s are still in service today in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and beyond.
The Rain-O-Flow’s distinctive paint, known as Rain-O-Flow Blue, became Cornell’s signature color and remains so to this day.
